We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a portfolio of multi-million-pound E,C&I systems contracts for major clients within the UK Nuclear Industry. These projects range from upgrades to existing C&I systems through to full turnkey PLC/SCADA-based solutions, including hardwired/logic-based safety systems and site installation works. You will oversee the full project lifecycle — from requirements and design through to implementation, testing, installation, commissioning and long-term support.
Key Responsibilities- Lead multiple high-value nuclear industry contracts from inception to delivery
- Ensure delivery to time, cost, quality and customer satisfaction
- Manage financial performance, subcontractors and specialist suppliers
- Provide leadership to a multi-disciplinary team of up to 30 engineers
- Oversee all Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety aspects
- Liaise closely with in-house production and hardware engineering teams
- Hold regular client progress meetings and build long-term relationships
- Support future business development through excellent project delivery
- 5–10 years’ full E,C&I project management experience in the nuclear industry or a similarly regulated sector
- Strong engineering background, ideally electrical or control systems
- NEC3 / NEC4 contract experience is essential
- Excellent customer-facing and stakeholder management skills
- Commercially astute with strong negotiation capability
- Proven track record delivering projects to time, margin and quality
- Experience managing subcontractors and multi-disciplinary teams
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
- Ability to obtain SC clearance
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- Project management qualifications (PMI, APMP, APM Practitioner etc.)
- Safety qualifications (IOSH Managing Safely or similar)
- Experience using CEMAR
