About the Company:

Our partner is a rapidly scaling start-up developing cutting-edge, air-deployable water storage systems for use in emergency response, sustainable agriculture, and humanitarian operations. With strong international demand and production scaling fast, they’re building a high-performing operations team to support delivery at pace.

About the Role:

They are looking for a Manufacturing Line Engineer to join their mission-driven team. This is a critical role at the intersection of design, engineering, and production, supporting the buildout of their manufacturing capabilities as they scale operations globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and optimise manufacturing processes and production lines for their water storage units, focusing on efficiency, scalability, and safety.
  • Create custom machinery, jigs, and fixtures to support production goals.
  • Work closely with the CTO and engineering team to turn concepts into fully realised manufacturing solutions.
  • Identify and implement ways to reduce manual processes, simplify operations, and enhance productivity.
  • Ensure designs consider cost, reliability, and ease of maintenance.
  • Present your design proposals clearly, supported by data and visuals, to internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of the manufacturing system as they grow.

Requirements:

  • A Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineer with a strong foundation in both static and dynamic systems.
  • 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing environments, with a proven track record of designing machinery for manufacturing lines.
  • A problem-solver who can take projects from concept to completion, balancing innovation with practicality.
  • Someone with a portfolio of previous work to demonstrate your approach to design, problem-solving, and implementation.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing principles, including materials, processes, and machinery.
  • Proficient in CAD (SolidWorks or equivalent), with experience creating detailed 3D models and drawings.
  • Familiarity with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and load analysis in both static and dynamic applications.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary £35,000-45,000 DOE.
  • Company share options.
  • Work alongside a multidisciplinary team of engineers, designers, and business professionals.
  • Be part of a mission-driven team tackling water and infrastructure access challenges globally.
