About the Company:
Our partner is a well-funded early-stage company building a new category of services business. The company acquires traditional service businesses and transforms how they operate using better technology, stronger commercial execution, improved processes and data-driven decision-making. They acquire businesses that already have customers, revenue and operational infrastructure, then modernise and scale them from within. The company has raised a $12m pre-seed round and is led by a founding team with strong backgrounds across enterprise technology, SaaS, venture capital and company building. They have already acquired their first operating business, a trusted technology services provider with an existing customer base, revenue and commercial team.
About the Role:
Our partner is looking for a VP Growth to help drive revenue growth across its first acquired operating business. This person will work across both the parent company, helping shape the wider growth strategy and repeatable commercial playbook, and the acquired operating business, working directly with the existing team to drive new revenue. The focus will be on supervising, coaching and working with the team to improve performance, while also being hands-on in driving revenue.
What You'll Work On:
- Work with the existing commercial team to drive new revenue.
- Improve sales process, pipeline discipline and commercial reporting.
- Identify the best customer segments, growth opportunities and revenue levers.
- Support outbound, new business generation and account expansion.
- Coach the team on messaging, qualification, follow-up and closing.
- Help professionalise the commercial function without making it overly corporate.
- Work closely with both the parent company leadership team and the acquired operating business.
- Help build a repeatable growth playbook that can be used across future acquired companies.
The main requirement is someone who is commercially sharp, proactive and comfortable driving revenue in a fast-moving environment.
Personal Profile:
- Hands-on, hungry and commercially driven.
- Comfortable working in an early-stage, high-ownership environment.
- Able to operate strategically while still getting into the detail.
- Strong communicator who can work with founders, operators, customers and sales teams.
- Practical, energetic and comfortable working without lots of structure.
- Confident improving sales process, pipeline quality and team performance.
- Excited by the opportunity to help build a new category of services business.
Why This Role Is Exciting:
This is not a standard growth role in a mature company. The company is building a new model for acquiring, improving and scaling service businesses. The person joining will not only help grow the first operating company, but also help shape the growth playbook that could be used across future acquisitions. There is significant scope to influence: revenue growth, sales process, account expansion, commercial hiring, pricing and packaging, GTM strategy, commercial reporting, and future portfolio company growth.
Compensation:
£90,000 - £120,000 base salary. 100% variable. Equity.
