Construction Insurance MGA | Founder’s Associate | Remote (UK-based) | £35K-£45K base
About the Company:
We are partnered with a fast-growing, founder-led MGA specialising in the UK construction sector. Their mission is to bring fresh thinking, tech-enabled underwriting, and deep sector expertise to deliver smarter, faster, and more tailored solutions for brokers and their clients. Backed by experienced industry leaders and investors, CoverIQ is building a modern insurance business that combines underwriting expertise with technology, operational discipline, and a strong understanding of the construction market. As they continue to scale, they are looking for someone highly organised and project-driven to help build the operational foundations of the business.
About the Role:
They’re currently seeking a proactive and structured Founder’s Associate to work closely with the founding team across operations, project management, stakeholder coordination, and tech build-out. This is a broad, high-ownership role suited to someone who enjoys making things happen, bringing structure to fast-moving environments, and supporting founders with the core operational work needed to scale. You’ll help manage key projects, coordinate internal and external stakeholders, improve processes, and support the implementation of tools and systems across the business. If you’re looking for a Founder’s Associate role where you can work directly with senior leadership, support a scaling MGA from an early stage, and take ownership of meaningful operational projects, this could be a strong fit.
Responsibilities:
- Support the founding team with day-to-day operational priorities, project coordination, and business-critical tasks.
- Help manage the build-out of internal systems, workflows, and operational processes as the business scales.
- Coordinate projects across underwriting, technology, operations, brokers, suppliers, and external partners.
- Bring structure to key workstreams by tracking actions, deadlines, risks, dependencies, and next steps.
- Support stakeholder management across internal teams, external vendors, capacity providers, brokers, and technology partners.
- Help maintain project documentation, meeting notes, operational trackers, reports, and follow-up actions.
- Support the implementation and use of project management tools, including ECS support framework or similar platforms.
- Identify process gaps and suggest practical improvements to help the business run more efficiently.
- Assist with founder-level priorities, including research, reporting, internal communications, and operational problem-solving.
- Take ownership of ad hoc projects across the business, especially where structure, organisation, and follow-through are needed.
Requirements:
- Strong project management experience, ideally within insurance, InsurTech, software, operations, or a fast-growth business.
- Highly organised, structured, and able to manage multiple workstreams at once.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate across founders, partners, suppliers, brokers, and internal teams.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, early-stage environment where priorities can change quickly.
- Good administrative capability, with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Able to create structure from ambiguity and keep projects moving without needing constant direction.
- Familiarity with project management tools, operational systems, or support frameworks, ideally including ECS.
- Understanding of insurance, software, SaaS, InsurTech, MGA operations, or broker-facing businesses would be beneficial.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive, reliable, and comfortable working closely with founders on confidential and business-critical work.
Compensation and benefits:
- Competitive salary: £35,000 – £45,000 DOE.
- Remote-first setup, with in-person meetings every couple of weeks in shared office space.
- Opportunity to join an early-stage MGA and work directly with the founding team.
- Broad, high-ownership role across operations, projects, technology, and stakeholder management.
- Strong progression potential as the company scales.
