About the Company:

Our client is a specialist advisory firm that works at the highest levels of business — helping FTSE boards, private equity firms and major public bodies sharpen their governance, decision-making, and long-term strategy. Through confidential, interview-led reviews and benchmark-backed insight, they guide Chairs and CEOs on how to make boards more effective, focused, and future-ready.

With over 100 retained clients and a reputation for analytical depth and discretion, the firm plays a unique role in shaping leadership behind the scenes. Headquartered in central London, their team blends the intellectual rigour of consulting with the trust and subtlety required for boardroom impact.

About the Role:

This is a rare opportunity to operate at the intersection of strategy, leadership, and governance in your career. You’ll join a tight-knit, high-calibre team delivering bespoke board effectiveness reviews and governance research for some of the UK’s most influential organisations. The role is fast-paced, varied, and ideal for someone curious, analytical, and driven to influence top-level thinking.

You’ll conduct research, analyse data, synthesise interviews, and contribute directly to reports that shape the way Boards of Directors operate. You’ll also have the opportunity to build relationships with experienced advisors and board members.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct deep-dive research into companies, boards, and governance frameworks.
  • Prepare for and support confidential interviews with Chairs, NEDs, and senior executives.
  • Analyse qualitative and survey data to identify themes, risks, and improvement areas.
  • Draft clear, tailored reports that blend analytical insight with strategic recommendations.
  • Support benchmarking using the firm’s proprietary governance index and global dataset.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge, client presentations, and thematic governance studies.

Requirements:

  • 4 years of experience in consulting, research, law, public policy, or a similarly analytical environment.
  • Previous experience in a client facing role.
  • Strong writing skills, confident distilling complex discussions into clear, concise language.
  • Genuine interest in corporate governance, leadership dynamics, and organisational strategy.
  • Excellent interpersonal and professional communication skills.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary (£55-70K DOE).
  • High-trust, low-ego culture with deep intellectual engagement.
  • Opportunity to work directly with Partners and clients from day one.
  • Exposure to FTSE-level boardrooms, policy bodies, and global best practices in governance.
  • Office in Borough Market with regular team seminars and hosted events.
