Our client, a global manufacturer of electro-mechanical scientific instruments, is seeking a hands-on Quality Assurance Manager to own and drive their ISO 9001 Quality Management System at their Stone site. This isn’t an oversight role — you’ll be personally conducting audits, managing CAPA and NCR processes, and maintaining document control while working closely with engineering, production, and supply chain teams. You’ll join a mature QMS environment with one direct report and plans to grow the team. This is an opportunity to shape quality operations while staying close to the action.
What You’ll Do
- Own and continually improve the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System
- Personally lead internal audits, CAPA, NCR, and document control processes
- Approve CE/UKCA declarations of conformity and maintain technical files
- Provide quality leadership across engineering, manufacturing, and service teams
- Drive measurable improvements in quality performance and audit outcomes
- Support external audits and regulatory compliance
What We’re Looking For
Must Have:
- Hands-on experience managing an ISO 9001:2015 certified QMS in manufacturing
- Personally conducted internal audits, CAPA, NCR, and document control
- Working knowledge of CE/UKCA marking (LVD, EMC, RoHS directives)
- Strong technical literacy — comfortable with engineering change, technical files, and conformity assessment
- Minimum 5 years in quality assurance within a manufacturing environment
Nice to Have:
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor qualification
- Experience with electro-mechanical, scientific instruments, or electronics manufacturing
- Six Sigma, CQE, or similar quality certifications
