As Captiva Homes continues its exciting growth we are seeking a Technical Co-ordinator who will play a key role in managing the flow of technical information required to deliver residential developments from planning through to build completion. This role ensures that all design information is accurate, compliant, fully coordinated, and delivered on time to support the commercial, construction, and sales teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Information Management
- Coordinate and review all consultant design work, including architectural, engineering, highways, utilities, and landscape information.
- Issue design packages to commercial, site teams, sales, in line with programme requirements.
- Manage the design programme, tracking progress and driving consultants to meet deadlines.
- Planning & Approvals
- Assist in preparing and submitting planning applications.
- Assist in discharging planning conditions.
- Coordinate information for building control, warranty providers and utility companies.
- Manage technical documentation required for section agreements.
- Technical Support During Construction
- Provide ongoing technical support to site teams, resolving design queries, construction issues, and specification clarifications.
- Attend site meetings to monitor design implementation and address technical challenges.
- Maintain a strong focus on buildability, cost-efficiency, and value engineering.
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience in the Construction industry is preferred, this could be from a residential / commercial background, utilities services, statutory or consultancy.
- Understanding of residential construction, planning processes, and building regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
- Organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Effective communicator with the confidence to work across internal teams and external consultants.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with document control systems.
Desirable
- HNC/HND or degree in Construction, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience managing section agreements (S38, S104, S278).
