We are looking for:

  • Accountable to: Senior Quantity Surveyor
  • Job Purpose: Commercial management of construction projects. Assisting the Commercial Department of Captiva Homes in ensuring that best value is maintained on construction projects, including the procurement of subcontractors for the successful completion of the projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Valuing the works undertaken on site on a monthly basis and providing external stakeholders with a formal valuation.
  • Producing a monthly cash flow forecast for all live construction projects.
  • Costing any additional variations or client changes.
  • Undertaking a monthly Cost Value Reconciliation process to establish both cost and value of projects at a given point in time.
  • Subcontractor procurement to include producing tender documents, issuing tenders, assessing prices received and placing official orders.
  • Reviewing applications of payments and claims received from subcontractors.
  • Attending external stakeholder meetings.
  • Record and document any variations.
  • Maintain contractual terms with clients and subcontractors.
  • Use of company accounts system for input of subcontractor payment notices, official orders and purchase orders.
  • Maintain general records of projects in progress.

  • Excellent IT Skills to include working with Microsoft Office.

Details & Benefits:

  • Salary is dependent on experience.
  • Holidays: 23 days per annum plus bank holidays.
  • Hours of Work: 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
  • Location: The successful candidate will be based in Captiva’s main office in Bembridge and is expected to visit and spend time on Captiva building sites.
