A national organisation in the telecommunications industry is seeking a BSA Principal Designer.

With BSA 2022 being fairly new to telecoms, the organisation is seeking someone that will assist the company in becoming compliant.

The focus will be on provision of day-to-day support to both Designers and Design subcontractors, ensuring the Company's BSA Principal Designer obligations are being met on all projects.

BSA Principal Designer Responsibilities

  • Act as the Principal Designer for the company.
  • Fulfil the requirements of the Building Safety Act 2022 and the requirements of High-Risk Buildings.
  • Ownership of the overall design process.
  • Day-to-day provision of support to Project Designers / Project teams.
  • Identify shortfalls in design training and take remedial action.
  • Review and comment on Designers hazard and risk information.
  • Work with build teams to ensure full understanding.
  • Carry out design reviews with team members and coordinate health and safety matters.
  • Facilitate good communications between the client, designers and contractors.
  • Monitor and distribute Design Documentation.
  • Produce Management Reports as necessary.
