We are looking for a talented and passionate Engineering Manager to lead a team of multi-disciplined engineers. Your team will be responsible for designing and building a robust and flexible application built upon a modern frontend approach, externally consumable APIs and a responsive data layer. Since Captify launched our SaaS product, Sense, we are seeing fantastic traction in markets. As it grows, we need to scale the product and ensure usability and reliability across all global markets and sales channels. Sense is a full-stack self-service solution for clients and partners to plan, activate, measure, and gain insights, tapping into the best of Captify’s proprietary data and analysis.
A whole world of search data exists outside of Google and Captify is the single largest holder of this expansive pool of search. Ingesting over 35bn+ monthly search events from 2.3bn devices, collected from over 6m websites, for 800+ of the world’s top brands, Captify’s Search Intelligence delivers intent with consent, to power pioneering programmatic advertising such as CTV, Video and Audio to deliver new customers and convert them.
Search is a highly complex dataset and Captify’s world-class engineers, semantic specialists and product teams have spent the last decade optimising our tools and technology to turn this data into insight and audiences for our clients, building the future of search. As our Applications Lead, you will be pivotal to the next stage of our company\’s evolution, as we put our data and capabilities in the hands of our customers. You will play a key part in developing our offering.

ABOUT YOU
You will be a dedicated and passionate manager who can lead engineers across multiple locations and specialisms. You will be equally obsessed with customer experience and engineering standards, understanding that they are intrinsically linked. You will have a thorough understanding of Data Science and Software Engineering as applied to the advertising technology ecosystem.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
What you’ll be doing:
You will own the architectural vision and technical standards of your team
You will help architect and build an innovative application which puts products to enhance and extend search data in the hands of our customers
You will be responsible for application performance and work with DevOps and Infrastructure leads to maintain reliability
You will lead a team of Ad Tech focused Software Engineers, Data Engineers, ML Engineers and Analysts.
You will be part of a team of Engineering Managers to encourage information sharing, collaboration and drive continuous improvement.
You will lead a culture of innovation, continually experimenting t with new tools and technologies to ensure our solutions remain cutting-edge to business problems.
You will work alongside our product team to understand our customers and our market and ensure that our product is solving their problems
Your will develop your team, coaching best practice and ensuring consistently high standards
You will lead a self-organising, results-oriented agile team
REQUIREMENTS:
What you need to be successful:
Have advanced knowledge of the wider Advertising Technology Industry
Have experience managing remote teams
A passion for continuously improving the team’s performance
A mature technology leader, with understanding of all layers of a technology stack
Familiarity with front end frameworks and tools (e.g. React, Node)
Have experience with Machine Learning / Data Science
Have previous experience with git, CI and CD tools (e.g. GitLab, TeamCity)
Have knowledge of docker, kubernetes, and AWS services
Passionate about writing good code
