We are partnering with a leading consultancy to recruit Quantity Surveyors / Senior Quantity Surveyors to join their growing London infrastructure team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on one of the UK’s largest and most high-profile infrastructure programmes within the Energy & Utilities sector, forming part of a complex, large-scale delivery environment. Candidates with experience across rail, highways, utilities, energy or aviation infrastructure will be strongly considered.

You will work closely with senior leadership, gaining exposure to strategic programme delivery and operating within a highly client-facing environment.

The Role

You will lead core commercial and cost management activities across pre- and post-contract stages, supporting a major infrastructure programme and providing strategic cost advice to clients. This role requires strong stakeholder engagement, commercial capability, and experience operating within structured programme environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead cost planning, commercial management, and contract administration
  • Manage NEC3 contracts, including change control and compensation events
  • Deliver accurate cost reporting, forecasting, and financial control
  • Operate within structured programme governance environments, including KPI and performance reporting
  • Support procurement and tender processes
  • Identify and manage commercial risks and mitigation strategies
  • Support estimating, benchmarking and value engineering activities
  • Provide clear, strategic commercial advice to clients and stakeholders
  • Support senior leadership with programme-level reporting and deliverables
About You
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
  • 5–15+ years’ experience in cost / commercial management
  • Proven experience on major infrastructure programmes (rail, highways, utilities, energy, aviation)
  • Strong NEC3 contract experience (ESSENTIAL)
  • Experience across pre- and post-contract delivery
  • Consultancy background preferred
  • MRICS chartered or working towards chartership
  • Commercially astute with strong analytical and stakeholder management skills
