This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist construction and project management consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering complex, mission-critical developments across the UK and Europe. With a growing portfolio of data centre projects, the business is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager or Associate-level professional to support the successful delivery of major data centre programmes. Working closely with clients, contractors, consultants and wider delivery teams, you will take ownership of projects from inception through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and within budget.
You will be involved across a number of live data centre projects, with locations ranging from Buckinghamshire to Amsterdam, providing leadership throughout the project lifecycle while helping clients navigate complex technical and operational challenges.
About the Role
- Project Leadership
- Lead the delivery of data centre projects through planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
- Develop and manage project execution strategies to ensure successful outcomes.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, consultants, contractors and specialist suppliers.
- Monitor project performance against programme, budget, quality and risk objectives.
- Drive project delivery whilst maintaining the highest standards of governance and client service.
- Client & Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
- Act as a trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead project meetings, workshops and reporting activities.
- Ensure alignment between project teams, consultants, contractors and end users.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and provide clear communication on project progress and risks.
- Commercial & Contract Management
- Support procurement strategies and contractor appointment processes.
- Monitor project budgets, forecasts and change control processes.
- Review commercial performance and identify opportunities for value creation.
- Assist in managing contractual obligations and project governance requirements.
- Programme & Project Controls
- Develop, review and interrogate project programmes using Primavera P6.
- Monitor project progress and identify programme risks and opportunities.
- Undertake critical path analysis and support mitigation planning.
- Ensure robust reporting and forecasting is maintained across all project phases.
- Work closely with contractors and consultants to validate programme information and project performance.
- Risk & Quality Management
- Identify and manage project risks proactively.
- Support the implementation of project controls and governance processes.
- Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout delivery.
- Contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
- Education & Professional Qualifications
- Degree qualified in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline.
- Professional accreditation such as APM, RICS, CIOB or equivalent is desirable.
- Experience
- Experience operating at Project Manager, Senior Project Manager or Associate level within the construction, infrastructure or mission-critical sectors.
- Minimum of 2 years' data centre project experience preferred.
- Proven experience delivering complex construction projects through multiple lifecycle stages.
- Experience managing contractors, consultants and client stakeholders.
- Exposure to large-scale mission-critical, technology, infrastructure or industrial projects would be advantageous.
- Experience working across multiple projects and locations simultaneously.
- Technical Competencies
- Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6 is essential.
- Excellent understanding of project controls, programme management and project reporting.
- Strong commercial awareness including budgeting, forecasting and change management.
- Understanding of construction methodologies, procurement routes and project delivery processes.
- Excellent problem-solving and risk management capabilities.

Travel Requirements
