I am working on behalf of a leading QS and PM consultancy firm seeking a talented QS to join a dynamic team. The business is currently in a new phase of growth and they are providing high-quality project management and cost consultancy services across a range of sectors, having most recently won a lot of work in the Retail and Education sectors.

They have a number of offices across the UK and have an excellent young, ambitious and sociable team of 20 in London which they are looking to add to by finding an excellent QS candidate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of quantity surveying and cost management for assigned projects
  • Provide accurate cost advice and financial reporting to clients
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost estimations
  • Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with contractors and suppliers
  • Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with budgets
  • Conduct risk analysis and value engineering assessments
  • Mentor and support junior team members
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Professional accreditation (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying or a related role
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials
  • Proficiency in cost estimating and financial management software
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
