My client is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Energy Estimator to join their Infrastructure Team in London. This is an exciting opportunity to work on large-scale energy infrastructure projects across the UK, including substations, overhead power lines, onshore and offshore wind farms, solar farms, and AC/DC converters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive cost management and estimation services for major energy infrastructure projects.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and budget forecasts throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project goals.
  • Lead commercial negotiations with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Manage cost reporting, risk analysis, and value engineering exercises to ensure project efficiency and financial control.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Attend site visits to monitor progress, assess variations, and ensure financial accuracy.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Energy Estimator within the energy sector.
  • Experience working with a developer, consultancy, or contractor on projects such as wind farms, solar farms, power substations, or power line infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of cost management principles and estimating practices specific to energy infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to travel to project sites across the UK as required.
