Capstone Recruitment has been retained exclusively by Beyond to appoint a Senior Project Manager to join its growing London team.
Established in 2018, Beyond is an independent development, project and asset management business. The team delivers its own development projects alongside providing services to third-party clients, working across complex mixed-use, residential, commercial and industrial projects.
Beyond is a small, entrepreneurial and highly collaborative business, and this appointment comes at an exciting stage of its growth. The successful candidate will take a leading role in the delivery of projects while also helping to expand Beyond’s Project Management offering, with scope for early progression as the business grows.
The Role
- Leading development projects from inception through to completion
- Directing and coordinating multidisciplinary consultant and contractor teams
- Managing programme, cost, risk and project reporting
- Acting as Employer’s Agent/client representative where required
- Working closely with investors, developers, landowners and other clients
- Managing relationships with the construction supply chain
- Taking responsibility for cost performance, reporting and financial management
- Supporting and mentoring junior colleagues
- Developing existing client relationships and helping generate new business
- Working directly with the Director of Project Management and CEO
About You
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with a minimum of eight years’ experience gained within a consultancy and/or client-side environment.
Candidates should have a strong track record of taking development projects from inception through to completion, alongside excellent commercial and client-facing skills and the confidence to lead complex projects and external teams.
Experience acting as Employer’s Agent or in an equivalent client-representative role under JCT or other standard forms of building contract is important, alongside experience of certification, valuations, payment processes and reporting to funders, investors or lenders.
Beyond is particularly interested in people who combine strong technical delivery with commercial awareness, relationship-building skills and an interest in helping grow the wider business.
Working pattern: Minimum 3 days per week in the office
