ABOUT
the Family Office A privately held, multi-generation international family office with a diversified UK real estate portfolio valued at approx. £290 million. Assets include prime and secondary retail, mixed-use, and office buildings, currently 90% leased to a strong tenant base. The strategy focuses on income optimisation, planning uplift, and value enhancement rather than development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Asset Management
- Oversee day-to-day asset management of a mixed UK commercial portfolio
- Maintain >90% occupancy and drive rental growth to market levels
- Lead lease renewals, re-gears, rent reviews, break clauses, and new lettings
- Work with leasing agents to achieve premium ERV and minimal voids
- Maximise NOI through proactive management and cost control
2. Planning & Value Enhancement
- Lead and coordinate planning strategies to unlock uplift in land value
- Manage planning consultants, architects, heritage consultants, QS
- Prepare planning briefs, pre-app submissions, and stakeholder consultations
- Build business cases for planning-led value creation for principals
- Monitor progress and manage risk across all planning processes
3. Portfolio Strategy & Reporting
- Prepare quarterly asset‑management reports for principals
- Model asset performance, cash flow, scenario analysis, valuation uplift
- Work closely with accountants, lawyers, lenders, and managing agents
- Support refinancing, appraisals, and lender reporting
4.TenantRelations&Operations
- Maintain strong tenant relationships to ensure stability and retention
- Resolve operational or property issues efficiently

5. Agency & Advisor Management
- Appoint and manage leasing agents across regions

CANDIDATE PROFILE
Essential
- 5–10+ years’ experience in commercial real estate asset management
- Proven track record in leasing, rent reviews, re-gears, and ERV maximisation
- Experience handling planning applications or managing planning teams • RICS qualified (preferred but not mandatory)
- Strong financial modelling and commercial appraisal skills (Excel/Argus/ CoStar)
- Ability to communicate directly with UHNW principals
- Self-sufficient, discreet, and entrepreneurial mindset
Ideal background
- Worked at a family office, property company, or private investor
- Experience with planning uplift (change of use, additional floors, refurb, etc.)
- Understanding of London and regional markets
