About The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Stoke on Trent College as a Financial Controller, leading financial operations and reporting across the College and its associated entities. Youll play a key role in shaping financial planning, compliance, and system improvement in a values-driven, forward-thinking organisation.

What You Will Do
- Lead the preparation of monthly and year-end accounts, audit files, and financial statements
- Manage cashflow and oversee procurement activities
- Support budget holders and ensure accurate forecasting
- Maintain and improve financial systems and controls
- Ensure compliance with VAT, asset management, and financial regulations
- Contribute to strategic financial planning and sustainability.
What You Will Bring
- A recognised accounting qualification (e.g. CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA) or equivalent experience
- Strong financial reporting and systems expertise
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Collaborative approach and attention to detail
- Experience in Further Education is desirable but not essential
