Join Capsticks LLP as a Senior Associate in our Advisory Division, focusing on health and social care clients.

The Division

  • Inquests
  • Litigation: including Court of Protection, judicial review and mental health tribunal matters
  • Mental Health and Mental Capacity law, to include Deprivation of Liberty
  • Public law, advising commissioning and service provider organisations on governance, powers and responsibilities, as well as funding and treatment decision making
  • Governance and patient safety investigations
  • CQC and related health care regulation
  • Confidentiality
  • Information law (DPA/FOIA)

Location & Working

London (Hybrid Working)

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support a team of junior lawyers
  • Advise clients on health and social care issues across the areas listed above
  • Collaborate with a national team of leading lawyers and colleagues
  • Handle politically sensitive cases for the NHS

Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrable advisory experience, including advocacy, or an appetite to develop advocacy skills, preferably within a leading healthcare law practice
  • Confidence, self‐motivation, and the ability to work with senior NHS management
