Location - This role can be based out of any of the Capsticks Offices - Birmingham, Exeter, Leeds, London, Manchester & Winchester.

The Team
Under the leadership of the Director of Business Development & Marketing (BD & M), the department provides a broad range of advice and support to the wider firm across Business Development, Bids, Marketing, Communications and Events, comprising 18 members in total.
The Role
This is a specialist role within the team as the goâto copywriter, producing high quality client communications and marketing collateral for the firm. You will be writing copy for press releases, case studies, marketing materials, newsletters, social media and award submissions as well as editing and proofing thought leadership drafted by our legal experts. You will be working alongside a team of business development & marketing specialists who are focussed on developing client relationships, winning new business and developing and maintaining our position as goâto advisors in our sectors. You will participate in a range of interesting marketing campaigns, building the firm's visibility through a programme of thought leadership, PR and various external comms activities. This role is a great opportunity to produce content for all sectors that the firm works in.
Main Duties And Responsibilities
- Produce and edit highâquality and engaging thought leadership marketing content, including for Insights, alerts, newsletters, case studies and social media.
- Research and write impactful press releases, effectively delivering key messages and engaging the audience.
- Work with legal teams to edit their thought leadership and apply our tone of voice.
- Work with Business Development Managers to produce a pipeline of content for all sectors and frameworks.
- Lead on planning and delivery of commsâfocussed marketing campaigns.
- Own and maintain a communications calendar within the firm's CRM (OnePlace) and tie mailings in to campaigns and initiatives.
- Lead on proactive PR campaigns â finding opportunities, drafting copy/supporting lawyers to draft copy and tracking published releases.
- Use data to measure the ROI of comms and PR activity and develop best practices to ensure comms activity is effective.
- Lead on award submissions for the firm, working with legal and other business services teams.
- Work alongside others in the team to draft and review legal directory content.
- Work alongside the Internal Communications Manager on key corporate campaigns for the firm.
Other Duties
Any other duties as reasonably requested by either the Director of Business Development & Marketing or the Head of Marketing Operations, such as providing support on a wide range of projects and contributing to the general smooth running of the team.

Experience
The successful candidate is likely to be an experienced copywriter that has been involved in marketing in a professional services environment and will be able to demonstrate:
- Relevant experience in a communications role.
- Experience of writing informative and engaging copy â including for thought leadership, PR and social media.
- Experience of working with senior stakeholders.
- Experience of using CRM systems.
- A strong understanding of brand and tone of voice, with experience of applying this to communications and acting as a brand champion.
