Associate – Advisory – Capsticks LLP, Birmingham (Hybrid)
The Division
The Advisory Division helps our health and social care clients across a wide range of issues, including:
- Litigation: Court of Protection, judicial review and mental health tribunal matters
- Mental Health and Mental Capacity law, including Deprivation of Liberty
- Inquests – case preparation and advocacy
- Public law: advising commissioning and service provider organisations on governance, powers and responsibilities, funding and treatment decision making
- Governance and patient safety investigations and inquiries
- CQC and related health care regulation
- Confidentiality
- Information law (DPA/FOIA)
The Role and Responsibilities
The firm is looking to expand its existing Advisory team and seeks a self‑motivated and ambitious solicitor to join us. The role involves working across our national client base, advising on the above issues and delivering high‑quality work. You will work alongside supportive and experienced senior colleagues, building on your experience in all of these areas and acting for clients who work to make a difference.
Skills & Experience
We are looking for an advisory solicitor, preferably within a leading healthcare law practice, with demonstrable experience in the areas outlined above.
