Exciting new roles generated from significant growth in the aerospace and defence sector are available at various skill levels for both CNC machining and turning. At Capricorn Applied Technology Ltd we manufacture precision components to drawings and standard operating procedures.

Here you will be setting and operating CNC mills or lathes depending on your skill sets and will be responsible for:

  • Setting, running & inspecting machined components.
  • Selecting correct tools, fixtures and programs for CNC machines.
  • Reading engineering drawings and programming for CNC machines.
  • Re-setting machines for operators when required.
  • In cycle and final de-burring prior to passing on to the next stage of production.
  • Minor machine maintenance, cleaning machine and own area at end of your shift.
  • Maintaining high levels of quality and shop floor organisation.
  • Meeting production targets and assisting with the production of various parts when required.
