We are looking for a proactive, hands‑on Maintenance Supervisor to support multiple sites across the business.

The Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will oversee the day‑to‑day maintenance of a portfolio of restaurants, ensuring our buildings, facilities and equipment remain safe, compliant and presented to the highest standards.
You’ll combine practical maintenance expertise with strong organisation and communication skills, managing repairs, coordinating contractors, supporting compliance, and building excellent relationships with operational teams across your sites.
This role requires flexibility, including weekend working and responding to business‑critical maintenance issues when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all day‑to‑day maintenance activities across your designated restaurants.
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, completing repairs personally wherever possible.
- Coordinate approved external contractors for specialist works beyond your capability.
- Regularly inspect each site, proactively identifying maintenance issues before they impact operations.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment, fixtures, fittings and building fabric are maintained to the highest standards.
- Manage the maintenance communication platform, ensuring all jobs are logged, prioritised and completed efficiently.
- Source quotations for maintenance projects and contractor works where competitive pricing is required.
- Order parts, equipment and materials, processing associated expenses in line with company procedures.
- Produce weekly maintenance updates for General Managers, senior leadership teams and the Maintenance Manager.
- Take ownership of property‑related Health & Safety compliance, completing statutory checks where appropriate and coordinating external compliance contractors.
- Raise purchase orders for maintenance works and ensure accurate record keeping.
- Approve maintenance expenditure of up to £500 in accordance with company guidelines.
- Support the Maintenance Manager and Head of Engineering with repair budgets, cost control and planned preventative maintenance programmes.
- Assist in implementing emergency maintenance procedures across the business.
- Act as the first point of contact for operational teams regarding out‑of‑hours business‑critical maintenance issues, escalating where necessary.
- What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a maintenance supervisory or multi‑skilled maintenance role.
- Experience working across multiple sites, ideally within hospitality, retail or commercial property.
- Strong knowledge of general building maintenance, electrical, plumbing and basic mechanical repairs.
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
- A proactive approach with the ability to identify issues before they become problems.
- Comfortable managing contractors and multiple stakeholders.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety and statutory compliance requirements.
- Financial awareness with experience managing maintenance spend and budgets.
- Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and emergency call‑outs.
