Social Media & Brand PR Specialist – UK Marketing Team Join our international FMCG brand that brings smiles to children worldwide. As a Social Media & Brand PR Specialist, you will build brand relevance, engagement and cultural impact across social media and brand PR touchpoints in Great Britain & Ireland.
Scope of the Role You will work closely with the Brand Manager, cross‐functional teams and agencies to develop and execute organic social strategy, community engagement and brand PR.
Location Hybrid working model: 3 days in the London office & customer meetings and 2 days remote.
Responsibilities Social Media Strategy & Content Creation Develop and execute local organic social media strategy aligned with brand objectives.
Own the social content calendar, including planning, copywriting and asset creation.
Ensure all content reflects brand tone of voice and resonates with target audiences.
Community Management Manage day-to-day community engagement across platforms (comments, DMs, interactions).
Ensure timely and appropriate responses aligned with brand tone and policies.
Trend Monitoring & Social Listening Monitor platform updates, digital trends and competitor activity.
Identify emerging cultural moments and translate them into brand-relevant opportunities.
Leverage social listening tools to gather insights and inform strategy.
Cultural Relevance & Real-Time Marketing Drive brand participation in culture through reactive and proactive content.
Develop agile content that taps into trends while maintaining brand authenticity.
Social Partnerships & Influencer Collaboration Identify & manage social brand partnerships and collaborations.
Manage GB influencer strategy – brief, execution, performance tracking.
Coordinate deliverables, timelines and approvals with partners and agencies.
Collaborate with creative and brand teams for integrated campaign support.
Brand PR Execution Lead the brief and execution of brand PR campaigns across consumer and trade channels.
Coordinate press outreach, product launches & influencer activity.
Performance Tracking & Reporting Track and analyze performance across social, digital and PR channels.
Report on KPIs and campaign effectiveness to key stakeholders.
Paid Social & Campaign Support Support the Brand Manager in delivering paid social campaigns.
Contribute to global briefing development, asset coordination and copywriting.
Profile Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or related field.
3–5 years experience managing social media, brand communications and PR in FMCG or consumer goods.
Proven track record in managing social media platforms and creating engaging content.
Experience with influencers, agencies and cross-functional teams.
Strong project-management skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Highly organized, structured and able to prioritize effectively under pressure.
Skilled in simplifying complex tasks and projects to achieve desired outcomes.
Self-starter with a can-do attitude and strong problem-solving skills.
Results-driven mindset capable of turning insights into actionable strategies.
Agile and proactive approach, with drive to challenge status quo.
Fluent in English (native speaker level proficiency).
Advanced MS Office skills; basic SAP knowledge.
Familiar with Google Analytics and social listening tools.
Will be present in the London office 3 days a week.
