We operate a hybrid working model: 3 days in the London office / customer meetings and 2 days remote.
SCOPE OF THE ROLE
This role sits at the core of building brand relevance, engagement and cultural impact across social and brand PR touchpoints. The Social Media & PR Specialist is responsible for managing the development and execution of organic social strategy, community engagement & brand PR to drive brand awareness, affinity and growth in Great Britain & Ireland. Working closely with the Brand Manager, cross-functional teams & agencies this role ensures best-in-class execution across owned & earned, while staying ahead of cultural trends and platform developments. The role requires a highly creative, agile and insight-driven marketer who thrives in a fast-paced FMCG environment and can translate strategy into impactful, measurable actions.
LOCATION
We operate a hybrid working model offering flexibility of on-site and remote work (3 days in our London office/Customer meetings and 2 days from home).
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Social Media Strategy & Content Creation
- Manage the development and execution of the local organic social media strategy aligned with brand objectives.
- Own the social content calendar, including planning, copywriting and asset creation.
- Ensure all content reflects brand tone of voice and resonates with target audiences.
- Collaborate with global teams to ensure consistency with brand guidelines.
- Community Management
- Manage day-to-day community engagement across platforms (comments, DMs, interactions).
- Ensure timely and appropriate responses aligned with brand tone and policies.
- Trend Monitoring & Social Listening
- Monitor platform updates, digital trends and competitor activity.
- Identify emerging cultural moments and translate them into brand-relevant opportunities.
- Leverage social listening tools to gather insights and inform strategy.
- Cultural Relevance & Real-Time Marketing
- Drive brand participation in culture through reactive and proactive content (together with agency).
- Develop agile content that taps into trends while maintaining brand authenticity.
- Social Partnerships & Influencer Collaboration
- Identify and manage social brand partnerships and collaborations.
- Manage GBs influencer strategy, from brief to execution: identifying talent, coordinating content, tracking performance in alignment with Brand Manager.
- Coordinate deliverables, timelines and approvals with partners and agencies.
- Collaborate with creative, and brand teams to deliver integrated campaign support.
- Brand PR Execution
- Lead the briefing and execution of brand PR campaigns across consumer and trade channels to deliver press coverage aligned with brand objectives.
- Coordinate press outreach, product launches & influencer activity.
- Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Track and analyse performance across social, digital and PR channels.
- Report on KPIs and campaign effectiveness to key stakeholders.
- Paid Social & Campaign Support
- Support the Brand Manager in delivering paid social campaigns.
- Contribute to global briefing development, asset coordination and copywriting.
YOUR PROFILE
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in GB managing social media, brand communications, and PR within FMCG or consumer goods.
- Proven track record in managing social media platforms and creating engaging content.
- Experience working successfully with influencers, agencies and cross-functional teams.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage and deliver multiple projects simultaneously.
- Highly organized, structured, and able to prioritize effectively under pressure.
- Skilled in simplifying complex tasks and projects to achieve the desired outcomes.
- Self-starter with a can-do attitude and strong problem-solving skills.
- Results-driven mindset with the ability to turn insights into actionable strategies.
- Agile and proactive approach, with a drive to challenge the status quo.
- Fluent in English (native speaker level proficiency - written and spoken).
- Advanced MS Office skills; basic SAP knowledge.
- Familiar with Google Analytics and social listening tools.
- Willing to be in the London office 3 days a week.
