Job Description

As a Quality Compliance Officer at Cappagh Contractors, you will ensure that all clean water framework activities meet relevant quality standards and comply with company, client, and regulatory requirements. You will play a key role in maintaining Cappagh’s reputation for delivering safe, reliable, and high-quality infrastructure within the water sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and evaluate project activities to ensure compliance with company quality standards, clients’ specifications, and industry regulations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments, identifying any non- conformances and recommending corrective actions.
  • Maintain and update quality management systems and documentation to reflect current best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the development and review of method statements, inspection test plans (ITPs), and quality documentation for projects.
  • Coordinate and facilitate internal and external quality audits, supporting teams in closing out corrective actions.
  • Liaise with site teams, project managers, and external stakeholders to ensure quality objectives are understood and met.
  • Assist in the training of site and project staff on quality control processes, standards, and compliance procedures.
  • Report on quality metrics, prepare compliance reports, and highlight areas for improvement.
  • Investigate and report any quality incidents, non-conformities, or deviations from standards, ensuring appropriate action is taken and lessons are captured for future improvements.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and high-quality standards across the framework.
  • Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in a quality assurance, compliance, or similar role within construction, utilities, or the water sector.
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems (such as ISO 9001) and audit processes.
  • Good knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and best practices relevant to clean water infrastructure.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with attention to detail and an analytical mindset.
  • Strong communication skills, able to explain quality requirements and procedures to site and project teams.
  • IT literate, comfortable with reporting tools and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Qualifications

  • NEBOSH, IOSH or similar health & safety qualifications advantageous.
  • Experience with audit methodologies and relevant industry accreditations desirable.
