We are currently working on a clean water contract for Portsmouth Water located in Havant, Hampshire and are seeking an enthusiastic commercial assistant to support our commercial team. This is a crucial role to help drive forward performance and ensure compliance.

The Commercial Assistant provides essential support to the commercial team, working closely with both commercial and operations staff. Responsibilities include maintaining client relationships, managing reporting and change control documentation, tracking and assessing on-site activities, and contributing to cost estimation and budgeting tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation of valuations, variations, and monthly applications.
- Support the commercial and operations team.
- Manage subcontractor accounts and assist with procurement.
- Monitor cost, risk, and cashflow across live work streams.
- Attend site and client meetings as required.
- Ensure contract compliance and maintain accurate project records.
- Contribute to the monthly commercial reporting and collate the data.
- Strong Time keeping.
- Problem-solving mindset, with an ability to resolve challenging situations diplomatically.
- Strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Need to have strong MS Office skills especially in Excel.
- Utility experience is preferred but not required for this role.
- Minimum GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- Experience in using IT software and management tools.
- Minimum 2-years’ experience in an office role.
