We're looking for a proactive and passionate SHEQ Advisor to support our operational teams in delivering the highest standards of Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) across our projects.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced SHEQ professional who enjoys being out on site, building strong relationships, and making a real difference to how people work.
As a SHEQ Advisor, you will provide expert support and guidance to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, client and company requirements.
Working closely with operational teams and the SHEQ Lead, you will help drive a positive safety culture, promote continuous improvement, and provide assurance that our projects are delivered safely, responsibly and to the highest quality standards.
The role will involve carrying out site audits and inspections, supporting incident investigations, reviewing risk assessments and safe systems of work, delivering inductions and toolbox talks, producing SHEQ reports, and supporting the ongoing development of management systems.
You will also work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure SHEQ objectives are achieved across the business.

Cappagh Browne Utilities Ltd is a special purpose joint venture established to deliver wastewater network maintenance and repair services for Southern Water across the South of England.
We focus on keeping sewer networks operating efficiently through planned maintenance, emergency response and rehabilitation works.
Our capability is underpinned by a substantial fleet of specialist vehicles including vacuum tankers, jetting units and CCTV survey equipment, supported by advanced technology for rapid diagnostics and effective solutions.
With a reputation for safety, reliability and technical expertise, Cappagh Browne plays a critical role in protecting communities and maintaining essential infrastructure.
What We're Looking For
You’ll be a confident and approachable SHEQ professional with the ability to influence and engage teams at all levels.
Essential
- NEBOSH General Certificate or NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
- Experience within the utilities, construction or civil engineering sector.
- Strong knowledge of SHEQ legislation, standards and industry best practice.
- Experience undertaking audits, inspections and incident investigations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel to operational sites.
Desirable
- ISO Internal Auditor qualification or training.
- Experience supporting integrated management systems.
- Drug & Alcohol testing experience (or willingness to undertake training).
