We’re looking for a reliable and proactive General Operative/Driver to join our team and support the smooth delivery of our operational activities. In this role, you’ll assist with the daily workload across multiple sites, transporting materials to and from projects, completing muck-away duties, and stepping in to help on site whenever needed.

You’ll be responsible for safely loading and unloading the lorry, ensuring materials are handled correctly, maintaining accurate delivery records, and adhering to all health, safety, and environmental regulations. This role also includes participation in a one‑in‑four call‑out rota, responding to urgent requirements when needed and helping maintain a safe, efficient, and well‑managed working environment.

About CBULCappagh Browne Utilities Ltd is a special purpose joint venture established to deliver wastewater network maintenance and repair services for Southern Water across the South of England. We focus on keeping sewer networks operating efficiently through planned maintenance, emergency response and rehabilitation works. Our capability is underpinned by a substantial fleet of specialist vehicles including vacuum tankers, jetting units and CCTV survey equipment, supported by advanced technology for rapid diagnostics and effective solutions. Experience

  • Experience as a driver, general operative, or similar role within construction
  • Experience working in a fast‑paced, multi‑site environment
  • Familiarity with construction or civils site operations and material handling

Knowledge & Skills

  • Good understanding of civils work
  • Ability to safely load, secure, and unload materials
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Good time management and organisation skills
  • Understanding of Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices

Qualifications

  • Full, valid UK driving licence
