Spider is advertising on behalf of a nationally respected electrical wholesaler for an experienced 7.5 Tonne Driver/Van Delivery Driver to join their team in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire on a full-time, permanent basis. This role requires a hardworking and motivated individual to work within an experienced team, ensuring deliveries are made efficiently and professionally, as well as booking goods into the warehouse.
Your Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
- Deliver goods to customers safely and efficiently. May require lifting heavy products or parcels.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and customer authorizations; ensure all documentation is properly filed.
- Keep the company vehicle clean and well-maintained, with sufficient fuel and oil, ready for use.
- Assist with unloading vehicles and checking in stock.
- Sort and place materials or items onto racks and shelves.
- Prepare and complete warehouse orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule.
This is a full-time position offering a salary of £13.50-£15.00 per hour (dependent on experience), paid monthly, with the opportunity to earn an annual profit share bonus. Benefits include 25 days holiday, working 40 hours across opening hours of 7am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, and 8am to 12pm on Saturdays on a rota basis.
The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of Peterborough and surrounding areas, hold a valid 7.5T license, Digi Tacho card, and CPC. Occasionally, deliveries outside a 50-mile radius may be required, with prior agreement. You should be confident in communicating with diverse people, follow procedures, and represent the company professionally during deliveries.
