They are seeking an experienced Driver/Warehouse Assistant to join their team on a full‑time, permanent basis at their head office in Colchester, Essex. The role may also be considered part‑time for the right candidate.

About The Role

As a Driver/Warehouse Assistant you will take on a key dual‑function role within the business. You will ensure the safe and efficient delivery and collection of materials, tools and equipment, while also maintaining a clean, tidy and compliant workshop environment. This role plays a vital part in supporting both the parts and engineering teams, helping to keep day‑to‑day operations flowing effectively.

Working hours: 0800 – 1700, Monday – Friday (part‑time considered).

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Safely deliver and collect parts, tools and materials between company sites, suppliers and customer locations, ensuring goods are correctly loaded, secured and handled.
• Represent the company professionally during all deliveries and collections.
• Maintain workshop cleanliness and organisation, including machinery, tools, work surfaces, stores and surrounding areas.
• Support engineers with basic workshop tasks such as moving equipment and preparing materials.
• Assist with waste management, ensuring correct segregation and disposal of materials.
• Support the Parts Department with stock control activities when required.
• Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures, use appropriate PPE and report any hazards or unsafe conditions.

About You

You will hold a full UK driving licence and have a good understanding of manual handling and safe working practices. You will be reliable, practical and capable of working independently as well as part of a team. Basic mechanical or engineering knowledge is an advantage but not essential. You are physically fit, proactive and have a strong attention to detail, with a positive attitude and willingness to support wherever needed.
