Our client is a leading Japanese-headquartered international bank seeking a VP to own the Financial Crime Transaction Monitoring Platform across EMEA.

This is a strategic technology ownership role within the IT Fin Crime function, responsible for the end-to-end platform lifecycle including design, development, architecture, delivery and long-term evolution.

The successful candidate will define the platform strategy, roadmap and service model, leading development teams to deliver a stable, scalable and high-performing Transaction Monitoring capability that supports the bank's regulatory obligations.

The role offers significant exposure to senior stakeholders across Compliance, Operations and Technology, while representing IT Fin Crime in governance and regulatory forums.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Owning the EMEA Transaction Monitoring Platform and its full delivery lifecycle.
  • Defining platform strategy, architecture and funded technology roadmap.
  • Leading system enhancements, upgrades, integrations, testing and production deployments.
  • Managing development teams and establishing governance, operating models and quality frameworks.
  • Partnering with global technology and product teams to deliver scalable Financial Crime solutions.
  • Driving continuous improvement, remediation activities and platform performance.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Transaction Monitoring platforms, ideally NICE Actimise SAM.
  • Deep understanding of data warehouse environments supporting Financial Crime systems.
  • Experience with SQL, ETL, data extraction and analysis.
  • Practical Linux knowledge.
  • Proven experience leading technology teams and delivering Financial Crime platform enhancements.
  • Background as a Product Owner, Platform Owner or Technology Change Lead within Financial Crime or Compliance.
  • Extensive IT experience within financial services.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline. CAMS, PMP or ITIL certifications are advantageous.
