Portolani is an independent multi-family office providing a holistic approach to wealth services for high-net-worth entrepreneurial families and institutional investors. Our activities include asset allocation, manager selection, portfolio monitoring and reporting, and broader wealth-related services.

Our in-house digital platform consolidates all asset classes, including listed assets, private markets investments, real estate, and direct holdings. Private market investments have been a core part of our offering for more than ten years. To support continued growth, we are looking for a Private Markets Investment Analyst with a strong focus on data quality, portfolio monitoring and reporting, administrative follow-up, and process improvement.

As a Private Markets Investment Analyst, your primary focus will be on portfolio reporting, data analysis, administrative follow-up, and process optimization related to private market investments in client portfolios. You will ensure that investment data used for client reporting is accurate and consistent. You will also support the private markets team in investment analysis and portfolio monitoring, gaining exposure to the manager selection process within a family office. A strong interest in private markets is essential. Portolani was among the first family offices to implement a structured and disciplined approach to private market investing. You will work closely with colleagues responsible for liquid portfolios, maintaining strong collaboration between public and private market investments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble, verify, analyze, and process transaction data and portfolio positions
  • Prepare and update quarterly client portfolio reports
  • Ensure high standards of data quality, consistency, and reconciliation
  • Support development of data automation, reporting tools, and internal processes
  • Collaborate across investment, reporting, and operations teams
  • Manage administrative tasks such as capital calls and distributions
Private Market Investments
  • Analyze private equity, private debt, infrastructure, venture capital, and secondary funds
  • Assist in portfolio monitoring and preparation of investment materials
  • Maintain contact with fund managers
Your Profile
  • Belgian resident
  • Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or Engineering
  • 0–3 years of relevant experience
  • Solid Excel skills; experience with reporting tools or databases is a plus
  • Interest in technology and process improvement (including AI tools)
  • Interest in private markets and long-term investing
  • Structured, reliable, and hands-on
  • Team-oriented with strong communication skills
Requirements
  • High ethical standards and respect for confidentiality
  • Fluent in French or Dutch, with strong English communication skills
  • Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
