The investment team at 6DC is looking for two talented interns to support the team in sourcing and analysing early-stage companies (Seed to Series B). You will join the investment team, contribute to investment committee discussions, and gain exposure to how we add value to portfolio companies.

The ideal candidate is passionate about start-ups, investing and technology. You have a curious and analytical mind and are keen to develop your ability to articulate views and analysis on paper and in person. You are self-motivated and eager to learn through both desk-based research and in-person networking with entrepreneurs.

Responsibilities

  • Support the team across the investment process: from deal sourcing and analysis to execution and post-investment value-creation.
  • Develop relationships with deal sources (VC peers, angels, ecosystem) and founders.
  • Help analyse investment opportunities and contribute to due diligence on products, people, business models, unit economics and market conditions.
  • Contribute to the preparation of investment cases for the investment committee, both written and verbally.
  • Help monitor fund investments and support founders where possible, including with fundraising, recruitment and other operational needs.
  • Continuously improve, gain new skills and build a strong foundation for a career in venture investing.

What we're looking for

  • A passion for technology, start-ups and investing.
  • A team-player who is analytical, humble and pragmatic, with a can-do attitude.
  • Energetic and effective time-manager who can prioritise under pressure.
  • Early evidence of interest in investing (e.g. tracking companies, writing on tech/VC, angel-adjacent or stock market activities).
  • Familiarity with the European/UK tech start-up ecosystem.
  • Currently studying towards or recently completed a degree.
  • Ideally had some exposure to early-stage technology (internships, university societies, side projects).
  • UK work authorisation.

We offer

  • A 6-month paid internship within the investment team at our London office (based in Piccadilly).
  • An opportunity to join an entrepreneurial team.
  • Exposure to every step of the investment process, from sourcing and analysis through to investment decisions and portfolio support.
  • The ability to make a difference in a flat organisation and an open-minded culture that encourages and values new initiatives and ideas from everyone.
