Overview
The Recovery House Service is a brand new, innovative service for Birmingham Mind. The Service Manager leads a team to create a flagship standard of support and care for adults in mental health crisis, shaping the offer and delivering the best service possible.

Location: Alum Rock, Birmingham (initially, with move to Erdington).
Details
Salary: £35,802 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of 16 to deliver the Recovery House service for adults in Birmingham and Solihull.
- Shape the delivery and culture of a new service and support people in recovery from crisis, ensuring the best outcomes.
- Provide a safe, secure and welcoming environment that supports de-escalation and preserves independence with person-centred support.
- Ensure the service operates 24/7, including short-term crisis accommodation for up to 7 nights.
- Collaborate with the NHS and build on existing public sector partnerships to provide comprehensive care.
- Model recovery-focused practices and involve service users in improving and developing services.
- Gain and maintain Care Quality Commission (CQC) registration and ensure high standards of CQC compliance.
- Lead with values, empathy and a commitment to excellence in service delivery and team development.

- Experience in mental health services and people management.
- Ability to work within CQC regulatory frameworks and achieve high standards of care.
