An established professional services firm is expanding its tax compliance and transformation practice and is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Manager. This is a chance to join a growing team helping large multinational and financial services clients manage global tax compliance, reporting and statutory accounting, through outsourcing, co-sourcing, technology and process transformation.
About the opportunity
The team supports a broad and varied client base, ranging from mid-sized businesses to major listed groups, across sectors including public sector, real estate and financial services. Following a period of sustained growth, the firm is now looking to strengthen several areas of the practice, including international tax reform readiness, managed compliance services, tax technology, operating model design, and data and automation, offering plenty of scope to focus on the area that best matches your background.
What the role involves
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships across a portfolio of accounts
- Overseeing delivery of corporate tax compliance work and outsourced compliance arrangements
- Advising clients on how new legislation affects them and handling ad hoc technical questions
- Helping clients streamline their compliance processes and make better use of technology
- Working with senior team members to identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Mentoring and supporting the development of more junior colleagues
- Assisting clients with statutory and group tax reporting, including managing outsourced reporting work under international accounting standards
- Contributing technical tax expertise to audit engagements for both listed and privately held multinational groups
What we're looking for
- Solid grounding in UK corporate tax legislation and compliance, particularly for larger or more complex organisations
- Experience coordinating sizeable or multi-jurisdictional projects
- A driven, resilient and accountable working style, with experience managing people and senior client relationships
- Clear, confident communication skills
- A track record of coaching or developing less experienced staff
- Strong analytical ability and sound judgement
- A relevant professional tax qualification (or equivalent experience), such as ATT, CTA or ACA; project management or process improvement credentials are an advantage
- Candidates with a background in any of the following would be especially welcome: tax reporting, transfer pricing, direct or indirect tax, statutory accounting, tax technology systems, or tax operating model design.
