The Opportunity
A leading professional services firm is seeking an experienced Private Equity Transaction Tax Manager to join its growing transactions team in London.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded tax professional to work on high-profile private equity transactions, advising investors and businesses across the full deal lifecycle.
The role offers significant exposure to complex transactions, senior stakeholders and a broad range of tax issues, with genuine scope for career progression as the practice continues to grow.
Responsibilities
- Advise private equity clients and management teams on a broad range of transaction tax matters.
- Lead and deliver tax projects including tax due diligence, restructuring, tax structuring, modelling and SPA review.
- Build strong client relationships and play an active role in developing new business opportunities.
- Provide commercially focused advice, balancing technical excellence with the wider objectives of each transaction.
- Work closely with tax specialists across multiple jurisdictions and disciplines.
- Manage projects effectively, including planning, budgets, deadlines and risk.
- Supervise, coach and develop junior team members.
- Contribute to the strategic development and continued growth of the transaction tax team.
- Candidate Requirements
The successful candidate is likely to be an experienced UK tax professional with strong technical knowledge and proven reviewing experience, ideally including restructuring or transaction-related tax.
They should have
- Strong UK tax experience gained within a professional services or advisory environment.
- Experience working on complex transactions and advising clients in a deal context.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
- A commercial and strategic mindset, with the ability to understand the wider objectives of a transaction.
- Experience supervising and developing junior professionals.
- A relevant professional qualification such as CTA, ACA, ATT, law qualification or international equivalent.
- A degree or equivalent academic qualification.
- Experience of UK tax compliance and project management would also be advantageous.
