Role Summary: The IFA Analyst demonstrates advanced knowledge in the assigned area and requires supervision only when necessary. They foster a collaborative and positive work environment and serve as a technical subject matter expert within the team on NAV oversight, fund accounting operations, and financial reporting for Luxembourg, Australian, and UK retail investment funds, as well as Luxembourg alternative investment funds. They perform time-sensitive tasks involving review, verification, and production work, including reconciliations, valuations, reporting, and vendor oversight, to ensure daily NAV accuracy. The IFA Analyst also leads team projects and analytical initiatives, providing fund accounting insights and guidance to internal departments, and acting as a point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders. The IFA Analyst serves as a key contact point for operational and relationship teams within the delegated Fund Administrators and Custodian banks.

Primary responsibilities/essential functions:

  • Fund accounting operations functions related to:
    • Cash reconciliations and cash monitoring.
    • Portfolio reconciliations (positions, pricing and income).
    • Cash management oversight.
    • Processing of complex transactions such as fund launch, transfer in kind, merger and asset transferability analysis.
  • Financial and regulatory reporting functions related to:
    • Semi-annual and annual financial statements and fund audit.
    • Total Expenses Ratio, Portfolio Turnover, Portfolio Yield.
    • Financial and trading data for PRIIPS/MIFID/RG97 regulations.
  • NAV oversight functions related to:
    • Pricing and Fair Valuation of securities.
    • Fund performance validation through benchmarking.
    • Execution of the Passive Currency Overlay program (Hedging).
    • Swing pricing.
    • Accounting for complex instruments and derivatives.
    • Budgeting and accrual review.
    • Reporting to Internal Committees and other key stakeholders.
  • Provides support and guidance to more junior team members.
  • Participates in cross-department projects and team initiatives:
    • Provides input to working group to establish project plan and processes based on defined business objectives.
    • Assigns responsibilities within own team and ensures both timely and adequate deliverables to project group.
  • Performs additional responsibilities as assigned.

Business & Technical skills:

  • Good knowledge of the investment management industry as the role relates to fund operations, investment and hedging strategies, Funds’ legal structures, investment operations, reporting and regulatory environment and ability to apply it to work assignments.
  • Good understanding of alternative investment funds and/or UCITS type funds including experience in oversight of such funds. Experience with private credit funds is a plus.
  • Good understanding of the fund accounting and custody functions. A professional qualification in these areas is a plus.
  • Strong numerical ability, high proficiency with Excel. Tableau, Alteryx, Eagle Investment Systems are a plus.
  • Strong written and spoken English skills. Knowledge of any additional language is a plus.
