We are looking for a Part Time Warehouse Operative (known internally as Vault Operative) to support our drivers in loading and distribution of cash throughout our branch network. This is a great opportunity for someone with a high level of integrity to develop within Loomis UK - one of the market leaders in our industry.

Hours: 30 hours per week

Pay: £14.06 per hour, rising to £15.06 per hour after probation

The role

As a Vault Operative, you will assist the management team in the day-to-day operation of the branch, including supporting with a fleet of high spec security armoured vehicles. Reporting to the shift manager, you will be responsible for collating deliveries and collections as well as the safe loading and unloading of customers\' money. You will provide an effective communication chain between branch management and road crew, as well as liaising and communicating with customers on day-to-day service and operational requirements. Compliance with all vault and dispatch procedures and systems in accordance with company standards is vital for this role along with the ability to monitor the standard of documentation and issue of security equipment.

To ensure your ability to carry out your role successfully, we will provide you with full training (both on and off the job), all your essential kit (including full uniform and Personal Protective Equipment where required), as well as continued development throughout your career with us. To be successful as a Vault Operative with Loomis UK, you will need to work as part of a team. An eye for detail and a can-do attitude is a must, as well as the ability to operate within a secure working environment.

Part-time working patterns are scheduled days from Monday through to Sunday with additional days and hours available from time to time. Shifts have variable morning start times with afternoon/evening finishes; on contracted days, you must have unrestricted availability for the full working day. Security criteria

  • You must be able to pass criminal record, personal credit and ID checks
  • You must have verifiable 10-year employment/unemployment/educational history
  • An SIA licence would be beneficial (but not essential, as we can support you in attaining one)
