Overview
Our Shepperton branch is seeking a Control Room Operative to be at the heart of our daily operations.
Pay: Β£14.06 per hour, rising to Β£15.06 per hour after probation (plus Β£2,589 per annum London Allowance)
Do you want to work in a place where your team values you? Do you have a positive attitude and the desire to learn and succeed?
This is a great opportunity for someone with a high level of integrity to develop within Loomis UK β one of the market leaders in our industry.
The role
As a Loomis Control Room Operative, you will coordinate and monitor daily transport routes using planning and tracking tools, ensuring compliance with operational and legislative requirements. You will liaise closely with both internal teams and external partners to support service delivery and maintain high standards of efficiency and security. Responsibilities also include managing vehicle tracking, issuing equipment and access codes, processing administrative documentation, and maintaining accurate records. Additionally, you\\\βll be responsible for opening and closing the branch, overseeing control room security, and reporting incidents.
While this is primarily a branch-based role, you may occasionally be required to support airside operations at Heathrow or Gatwick, covering driver shortages and undertaking road duties when necessary. Therefore, an existing HGV licence is highly desirable.
If you\\\βre a logical thinker, safety-conscious, and a strong team player, this role could be a great fit for you!
About You
You\\\βll be a confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills, capable of working independently as well as part of a close-knit team. With a logical approach to problem-solving, you\\\βre comfortable managing change in a fast-paced environment and can prioritise tasks effectively to meet tight deadlines. Your time management and organisational skills are strong, and you\\\βre confident using IT systems to plan, monitor, and report on operational activity.
Ideally, you\\\βll bring knowledge of transport legislation and may have previous experience in roles such as Driver Guard, Vault Operative, or within a related industry. A full UK driving licence is essential, and while an HGV licence and SIA accreditation are advantageous, we can support you in achieving the latter if not already held.
The values of our organisation β People, Service, Integrity β are fundamental to shaping our culture and the way we manage our business.
We also have some specific security criteria that you will need to meet:
- You must be able to pass criminal record, personal credit and ID checks
- You must have verifiable 10-year employment/unemployment/educational history
- You must have a current UK driving licence
- You must be approved to attain an SIA licence. Joining us with an existing CVIT SIA licence will automatically qualify you for the post-probation rate of pay, as well as a Β£1,000 bonus. If you don\\\βt hold one already, you will be required to attain a licence (paid for by us) during your probation period
In Return We Offer
- 24 days holiday per year (excluding bank holidays)
- A 12-week induction and training programme (The Loomis Way)
- Life Assurance
- Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
- A safe and supportive culture
- Full uniform and PPE
- MyRewards over 3000 discounts for everyday life
- Pension scheme
- Cycle to Work scheme
- Progression opportunities
You will receive the very best in procedural security training and support. If customer service is at the heart of what you do and you want to join an organisation where you can grow and develop your own career, then apply today with your CV including a full job history.
