This role will drive the shift from manual, judgement-led underwriting to a data-driven, digitally enabled model, delivering rapid performance improvement and long-term capability build.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct rapid diagnostic and define a target underwriting operating model
- Deliver a focused transformation roadmap with measurable outcomes
- Standardise and digitise underwriting processes, rules and decision frameworks
- Improve data, analytics and automation to enhance underwriting decisions
- Strengthen governance, controls, authority and referral frameworks
- Enhance workflow efficiency, case handling and turnaround times
- Align underwriting with pricing, claims and portfolio management

- Proven leader of large-scale underwriting transformation programmes
- Strong experience delivering manual-to-digital change (automation, data, rules)
- Deep understanding of underwriting performance, risk selection and governance
