A highly regarded public sector organisation is seeking a qualified Lawyer to join its legal team, providing expert advice across a broad range of local authority matters.
The Role
- Deliver high-quality legal advice to members and officers
- Manage a varied caseload across areas such as property, planning, litigation, commercial contracts or housing
- Draft and negotiate legal documents and support transactional work
- Attend and advise at committees, meetings and (where required) court or tribunals
- Support governance processes by reviewing reports and ensuring legal compliance
About You
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or CILEx (or equivalent experience)
- Strong experience advising on public sector or local authority matters
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Confident communicator with the ability to build strong working relationships
- Commercially aware with strong drafting and analytical skills
