We are currently recruiting compassionate and reliable Residential Support Workers to join our team in Ormskirk and surrounding areas. As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and support to children and young people in residential settings. You will help create a safe, positive, and nurturing environment that promotes independence, wellbeing, and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day emotional and practical support to young people
- Promote independence, confidence, and life skills
- Support young people with daily routines, appointments, education, and activities
- Maintain accurate records and reports
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and care policies at all times
- Respond calmly and effectively to challenging situations when required
Requirements:
- Must have the Right to Work in the UK with no working hour restrictions
- Minimum 6 months’ UK experience working within residential support settings
- A caring, patient, and supportive attitude
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins
- Ideally a driver with a Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle
- Enhanced DBS on update service (can be applied for during registration if required)
Pay Rate: £13.25 – £19.50 per hour (depending on client, shift, and location)
