We are currently recruiting a Market Attendant to support the day-to-day operation of a busy market and public facility. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone reliable, practical, and customer-focused.
Key Responsibilities
- General cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, surface cleaning, windows, and public facilities
- Waste collection, segregation, and operation of waste compaction equipment
- Maintaining cleanliness in public areas, including food court seating during busy periods
- Basic labouring duties and use of cleaning and maintenance equipment
- Litter picking and upkeep of internal and external areas
- Acting as a first point of contact for customer and trader queries
- Assisting with site security duties when required
- Following cleaning rotas and health & safety procedures at all times
What We’re Looking For
- A strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to carry out physical duties and manual handling tasks
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Aware of health & safety in the workplace
- Previous cleaning, facilities, or caretaker experience desirable but not essential
