Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for Piling Operators based in the London Area, United Kingdom. Piling Operators will be responsible for safely operating piling rigs and associated equipment, including MINI piling rigs suited to restricted access sites. Day-to-day tasks include setting up machinery, carrying out piling and foundation works according to engineering specifications, monitoring equipment performance, and completing basic maintenance checks. The role involves working closely with site supervisors and other team members, following health and safety procedures, and maintaining a clean, organized work area. Piling Operators will also help with site preparation, loading and unloading materials, and ensuring projects are completed efficiently, on schedule, and to company quality standards.
Qualifications
- Experience operating piling rigs and related foundation equipment, ideally including MINI piling rigs or similar compact machinery.
- Strong understanding of construction site practices, groundworks, and basic foundation and piling techniques.
- Commitment to health and safety, including safe lifting practices, equipment inspections, and adherence to site safety regulations.
- Ability to read and follow instructions, method statements, and basic technical drawings or specifications.
- Effective teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with supervisors, engineers, and other site staff.
- Good physical fitness and willingness to work in varying outdoor conditions, including confined or restricted access areas.
- Relevant industry certifications or tickets (e.g., CSCS card, plant operator certifications) are highly desirable.
- Previous piling, ground engineering, or construction experience in the UK is an advantage, as is a valid UK driving license.
