We are looking for a highly organised and detail-focused Accounts Administrator to join a busy finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, takes pride in getting things right and thrives in a role where accuracy, organisation and teamwork really matter.
You will play an important part in supporting the day-to-day finance function, working across accounts payable, customer accounts, payments, reconciliations and general financial administration.
What you will be doing
- Processing purchase invoices and credit notes
- Reviewing supplier statements and ensuring invoices are received and processed accurately
- Supporting the management and collection of outstanding customer balances
- Setting up new customer and supplier accounts
- Processing employee expenses
- Preparing and making supplier payments
- Handling incoming finance-related queries by phone and email
- Processing payments securely over the phone
- Posting bank transactions using accounting software
- Managing the finance team inbox and ensuring queries are dealt with promptly
- Supporting the release of orders where payment requirements have been met
- Providing general finance administration and support to the wider team
- Taking on additional duties and projects as required
What we are looking for
- Experienced in a Financial Administrator, Accounts Assistant or similar role
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable working with financial information and deadlines
- Confident using accounting systems and Microsoft Office
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced and busy environment
- Reliable, proactive and able to manage competing priorities
- A positive team player who is happy to get stuck in
- Previous experience using SAP or similar business/accounting systems
