As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining and supporting factory machinery to ensure efficient, safe, and compliant production operations. You will respond to breakdowns, carry out preventative maintenance, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm or 9.30am to 6pm with opportunity to work extra hours.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out fault finding and respond promptly to production-critical and quality-related engineering issues.
- Perform planned preventative maintenance and repairs on all site machinery, including grading, weighing, washing, and packing equipment.
- Maintain and repair mechanical systems such as motors, gearboxes, and drive systems.
- Support hydraulic and pneumatic system maintenance and repairs.
- Undertake fabrication and welding work, including both repairs and new builds.
- Ensure all machinery is tested, assessed, and maintained in line with engineering standards.
- Assist in investigating and resolving foreign object complaints, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Carry out occasional maintenance of buildings and site services.
- Complete accurate and timely maintenance records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and accreditation requirements.
- Proven experience in a multi-skilled engineering role within a production or manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical engineering skills.
- Experience in welding and fabrication.
- Ability to diagnose faults and work effectively under pressure.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of health & safety and food safety standards.
