My client is currently recruiting for an Electrical Technician. The role offers a 4 day working week with overtime paid for any additional hours worked, 5 weeks holiday, life insurance and employee funded private healthcare. The role offers a 2 week shift pattern alternating between Tuesday - Friday and Monday - Thursday. Standard hours are 07:30 - 17:30 with a 16:30 finish on the fourth day. Due to the location, a driving license and your own transport will be required.
Duties include:
- Assemble electronic/electrical subassemblies from schematic diagrams, drawings or verbal instructions and following works order instructions to ISO9001 standards.
- Wire and solder wiring harness and cable assemblies, PC boards, SMT, transformer assemblies, control consoles, connectors, etc.
- Perform limited troubleshooting and testing of assemblies.
- Perform limited computer controlled operations.
- Ensures assembly/sub-assembly build times are met to maintain department efficiency target of 100%.
- Carry out job tasks safely using good working practices.
- Carry out all assembly work to the required department quality standards.
The ideal candidate:
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Able to maintain a high level of organisation while working under pressure to deadlines.
- Keen attention to detail and the ability to read and interpret designs and sketches.
- An ONC in electrical/electronic and IEEE 18th Edition accreditation will put you in a stronger position, though they aren't essential for the role.
