My client is currently recruiting for an Electrical Technician. The role offers a 37 hr working week with overtime paid for any additional hours worked, 5 weeks holiday, life insurance and employee funded private healthcare. The role is Monday - Thursday 8.30-16:30 and Friday 8.30-4pm. Due to the location, a driving license and your own transport will be required.

Duties include:

  • Assemble electronic/electrical subassemblies from schematic diagrams, drawings or verbal instructions and following works order instructions to ISO9001 standards.
  • Wire and solder wiring harness and cable assemblies, PC boards, SMT, transformer assemblies, control consoles, connectors, etc.
  • Perform limited troubleshooting and testing of assemblies.
  • Perform limited computer controlled operations.
  • Ensures assembly/sub-assembly build times are met to maintain department efficiency target of 100%.
  • Carry out job tasks safely using good working practices.
  • Carry out all assembly work to the required department quality standards.

The ideal candidate:

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Able to maintain a high level of organisation while working under pressure to deadlines.
  • Keen attention to detail and the ability to read and interpret designs and sketches.
  • An ONC in electrical/electronic and IEEE 18th Edition accreditation will put you in a stronger position, though they aren't essential for the role.
