As the UK Change Management Lead you’ll be responsible for ensuring UK alignment with the Enterprise Technology Change Management Process and overseeing its delivery. You’ll also be responsible for how we manage third party changes with our key vendors. You’ll lead a team of SMEs in vendor change as well as offshore change analysts who provide sign off of change into the production environment. You’ll uphold the process to high quality gates and look for continual improvements.
We’re looking for an exceptional people leader, someone who leads by example, builds strong relationships and cares passionately about developing their associates. This is an incredibly exciting team for a new leader to join the team as the responsibility for vendor change management is centralised into the UK Change Management team. This will involve onboarding an existing team, supporting them in the transition to Service Operations and aligning your team on both current and future purpose.
You’ll work in partnership with our US Enterprise Change Management team to continually improve and innovate our approach to tech change. You’ll also work closely with Key Third Parties, our Outcome Delivery teams, Site Reliability Engineering and Service Operations teams to minimise the impact and risk associated with changing services. You’ll also get the opportunity to drive the future of the UK Change Management team through ownership of the Change Management process with a focus on Third Party Change excellence for our key third parties.
What you’ll do:
- Be a leader of people. Having a highly motivated and engaged team of Change SMEs will be fundamental to success in this role.
- Onboarding of a third party change function, including the transition of people and process into a unified Change Management team.
- Set a vision for third-party change excellence, articulating a clear strategy and roadmap for execution for evolving our existing processes with key third parties to continually meet the needs of our stakeholders.
- Ownership and oversight of the Change Management process for the UK LOB.
- Leadership of a small team of third party change analysts, leading by example with a service first approach.
- Forming and nurturing US relationships to drive forward UK alignment to Enterprise standards.
- Drive the evolution of the UK Change Management process making use of data and analytics to influence decision making and drive initiatives to completion.
- Own the evolution of the change process in response to our changing Technical and Service landscape.
- Be responsible for executing our well managed agenda through effective process, risk and control ownership.
- ServiceNow product ownership.
What we’re looking for:
- A proven ability of leading cross functional teams to results.
- Strong influencing and communication skills.
- Great at building relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- A strong Service/Change Management track record in a Tech Service environment.
- Comfortable working through ambiguity and complexity, able to quickly deep-dive into operational detail to establish current state, and define a clear, agreed-upon future state solution.
- An understanding of Technical Application infrastructure and applications, including the principles of the AWS cloud.
- This role will require a degree of skill in context switching, and the application of stakeholder knowledge to problem solving.
- An understanding and experience of implementing into a live IT infrastructure environment.
- Experience of Agile Project Management methodology.
- ITIL Foundation V4 or V5 level accreditation or equivalent.
Where and how you'll work:
This is a full time, fixed term (12 months) position and is based in our Nottingham office. We have a hybrid working model which gives you flexibility to work from our offices and from home. We’re big on collaboration and connection, so you’ll be based in our Nottingham office 3 days a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
