This is an exciting opportunity to join Capital One’s UK Supplier Management Office (SMO) as a Supplier Manager focused on Tech / IT suppliers.

What You’ll Do

  • Be the assigned Supplier Relationship Manager for the key relationships you manage, and will be responsible for undertaking all required activities to comply with Capital One's Third Party Management Policy at all stages of the Supplier life cycle (Due Diligence / Selection / Contracting / Onboarding / Monitoring / Offboarding).
  • Act as the primary point of contact for your suppliers and internal business stakeholders.
  • Manage an effective governance structure to enable the appropriate level of communication and interaction between Capital One and your suppliers.
  • Build up a detailed knowledge of your supplier’s business to build credibility with your numerous internal and external supplier stakeholders.
  • Work closely with your internal business customers to understand issues, continuous improvement suggestions, new work requirements etc.
  • Build wider market knowledge and insight for the category of Suppliers you manage.
  • Be a proficient Contract Manager, managing the Supplier in accordance with contract and liaising with legal teams to amend, vary, renew and add to Contractual arrangements over time.
  • Ensure business goals are met through strong performance, risk and relationship oversight of our extended supply chain and ensuring compliance with Capital One’s Third Party Management (TPM) policy.
  • Travel to various Capital One and third party sites as the role requires.

What We Are Looking For

  • Relevant Supplier Relationship Management Experience with demonstrable results and outcomes.
  • Excellent and demonstrable communication, relationship building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Previous experience of Risk Management as a core component of your role.
  • Contracting experience, working closely with COEP Legal to deliver Framework Agreements as well as core MSA’s & SOW’s across your supplier base.
  • Ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
  • A real team player who will focus on both individual goals and the wider success of the SMO function and Capital One UK business.
  • Enthusiasm and passion for Supplier Relationship Management.
  • Experience in the IT / Technology Procurement category.
